Approaching the finish line

After a few intensive weeks, cross stitch Casper is now in its (semi-)final stage.
There are still lots of small bugs and details to go through, hopefully it doesn’t take too much time too fix them.

all graphics have to be redone. they’re just not looking like they’re supposed to look.

is this how vaporware is born? let’s hope not. while the (never announced) release date has been postponed, the dedication for this project is still very alive and kicking.

struggling with custom font

cross stitch casper is all about the concept. so everything that can be seen has to fit the general idea. one of those things is the font used.

due to the very limited space in the game, it felt unavoidable to create a 4 pixel high font. while that wasn’t the problem, it took way too many hours to integrate it into the game. then again, the result was worth the effort. it’s looking great.

losing control

cross stitch casper started as a small project. it quickly grew into something way bigger than that. the graphic style turned out to be much more complicated than hoped.

still, the enthusiasm and dedication is still there.

working hard on getting the first whalesplash game out there.

concept and story are all ready to go. doing all the artwork in photoshop won’t be a problem (just time consuming). we’re using Adventure Game Studio to build the game and as i basically don’t have any scripting/programming experience, lots of headaches are to be expected.

on the other hand, AGS is very intuitive and it seems easy enough to learn the basics.
